"We recently moved into an arts and crafts house which had been empty for over ten years, and was becoming derelict. B&T Builders worked on the house and parts of the grounds for many months, restoring sympathetically and building us a glorious dining room addition complete with lantern roof. They started and finished when they said they would, kept in close consultation with us throughout, showed us work they had done elsewhere, and accommodated changes when needed with no problem. We would highly recommend their work, especially on a character house like ours." John and Marianne Dixon, Pulborough

"This project involved a significant area of new construction and linking it to an existing period house combined with external works and landscaping.

The B&T team delivered on cost and on time a high quality product which has been universally admired.  The on-site team were friendly and co-operative, radiated confidence expertise and enthusiasm and kept the site exceptionally clean and tidy.  Although we all tried to keep variations to a minimum, inevitably these occurred  but were easily resolved at reasonable cost.  Post completion, any snagging items were quickly and effectively addressed and throughout the 9 months contract administration was efficient, aided by frequent meetings. iI have no hesitation in recommending B&T for a job like this."  Mr David Larkin, Coldwaltham

"B&T Builders helped us to re-build our house in 2009/10.  They were very helpful in giving us and our architect advice on the scope for refurbishment prior to purchase and were subsequently successful in securing the contract in competition with other building contractors. Although a relatively small firm, they performed to a high professional standard throughout the project and were a pleasure to work with.  They successfully managed a restricted site with shared access whilst minimising the disruption to neighbours.  They were also successful in coordinating the activities on site of  over forty direct and nominated contractors.  Critical aspects of the project, including the external structure and new roof, were completed under often very difficult weather conditions with minimal delay.  Considerable care was taken throughout the project to select and incorporate appropriate building materials in accordance with the site's conservation area status. The project had effective time and cost controls.  Close attention throughout the project was given to thermal efficiency. This called for a high standard of insulation, the success of which has been borne out by reduced energy costs.  We are delighted with our new house and have no hesitation in recommending B&T Builders."  Mr Ian McNeil, Petworth

“We are the owners of a listed farmhouse which required extensive and substantial renovation works over a period of several years.  B&T were the main contractors throughout the entire  project period and provided work of the quality expected  and operated in a highly professional, sensitive and flexible fashion. We continue to use the firm many years later for any further works that might arise." Mr Robin Butler, near Midhurst

"After a formal tender process we awarded a contract to B&T Builders to build a kitchen extension and numerous other smaller jobs such a restoration of a guest annex with en-suite and reworking of a kitchen hall utility area.  In general the work was complex as it involved incorporating new structures onto a period house. John and his team showed great sensitivity, understanding and imagination in adapting the new to blend with the old and went the extra mile to ensure they met (and often) exceeded our expectations.

Throughout the process B&T were honest, courteous, reliable and highly professional.  Plastering, tiling, plumbing, electrics, painting and carpentry all finished to an impeccable standard. We cannot recommend B&T more highly." Mr Tim Anderson, Horsham
